It’s been a while since I ordered from Fabletics, but I’ve been loving the new collections so bought a few things.
First, I loved the Neema Tank and Marley Bralette from the March collection. But do I really need another black tank? And, the bra is not meant for larger cup sizes. But when I saw Nicole’s review, I knew I had to try them both.
I love this tank! The fabric is lightweight with a cottony feel, and it’s loose and flowy. I ordered a medium, and while it feels a bit big, I think the small would be too short. The tank has a slight trapeze style and flares out a bit in both the front and back. The style of the back is so pretty. I love the versatility of this tank. It will look great with jeans and flats, a skirt and heels, or shorts and walking shoes. This tank is a keeper! Here I paired it with the Cora Skirt and Juneau Bra reviewed below.
The product description says this is meant for small-chested ladies, but it’s so adorable I couldn’t resist trying it. Well, it is adorable. I just love it. Unfortunately, it’s so not for a C cup. If this bra could talk, it would say, “Hey, if your breasts want to hang out in my cups, that’s cool. But it’s not mandatory. My cups will let them out whenever they want.” Basically, if you have anything in the chest area that could move around, this bra is not for you. Oh well. Smaller-chested ladies definitely win with this bra!
I ordered the Breakwater outfit from the April collection, which includes the Cora Skirt in the Malibu print and Anthem Midi Sports Bra. This was definitely a daring purchase for me. I usually don’t wear prints, and the Malibu print is a bit wild for me. Also, I’ve never worn a crop top–much less a crop-style bra–in my life. But again, I thought I’d give it a try since returns are free and easy.
Anthem Midi Sports Bra
This is really a top with a built-in bra. The top of the front and most of the black is a tight-knit mesh, making it look solid black but actually being very lightweight and airy. Those who like the practicality of mesh but don’t want sheerness would like this fabric. The other fabric in the top is silky and lightweight. The top comes an inch or so past the bra. The bra has enough support for light activities, but when I tried doing a test jog there was too much bounce. I ordered a medium, and overall it’s very lightweight and comfortable. I really like it. While I don’t typically wear crop tops, I can see wearing this for hot-weather hikes when even a tank is too warm.
Not being big on prints, I was hesitant about this black-and-white palm tree print. I decided to give it a go because prints in black-and-white seem more conservative, and I liked the summery palm trees. I actually love the print. It has a bit of an abstract feel while being a bit edgy since tropical prints are usually really colorful.
The fabric itself is very lightweight and stretchy. It’s white with black printed on. I was worried about opacity, but the skirt is surprisingly completely opaque. It also has enough compression that it smooths out lumps and bumps.
I ordered a medium and it fits very well–exactly like a pencil skirt should fit without being too tight. As with most pencil skirts, I can’t take giant steps because it’s tighter in the knees.
Overall, I really love this skirt. It’s comfortable, summery, and versatile. I bought this because I usually wear skirts to work in summer, and when I go out for a walk at lunch I often get sweaty. Since the fabric is wicking, I thought it would be good to wear to work. I have a few Athleta skirts that I wear to work for the same reason. But I can see getting a lot more use out of it all summer since it can be dressed up or down. I’m really happy with this skirt! I like it paired with the Neema Tank, but I have to say it looks great with the Anthem Bra. I just started my program to slim down and firm up, so my goal will be getting into a shape where I feel comfortable wearing this outfit out.
I have a few seamless style bras from Fabletics that I wear a lot for lounging. I loved the mint color of the seamless Juneau bra, so ordered it. I ordered a medium, and it fits similarly to the other Fabletics seamless bra styles. I do like that you can adjust the straps on this one. It’s comfortable and another bra I’ll wear mainly around the house.
