Hi! I’ve been absent here and with reading other blogs because life has other demands for me right now. I doubt I will be able to get the Lululemon review post I promised up this week, and this weekend will be just as busy. I should be able to get caught up next week though.
I need to keep this post short but did want to share a few things.
My weight loss for the first month of this program is 3.4 pounds. I’m thrilled! I’m happy I was still able to lose weight without being as strict as I was in the beginning. I tried eating sensibly instead of tracking on the weekends, and that seems to have worked. This week I’m so busy that tracking has completely gone out the window, so I’m happy I have some experience with eating sensibly without tracking to fall back on.
Even better than how much I lost is how my clothes are fitting. I chose a pair of Athleta pants as my measure. Four weeks ago the pants were so tight that I could never wear them out in public. They’re just a hair tight now. I could wear them out in public, but I’d like them to be just a bit looser. So, I may not have much more to lose.
This week I changed up my strength training routine. Instead of doing full-body workouts, I’m doing separate workouts for lower body and upper body, with core mixed in each workout. I’m using this routine that I did last year.
And finally, this week I made a very filling and healthy vegan Greens Quiche from Happy Herbivore (recipe here). A slice makes a great and satisfying lunch with a salad or fresh sliced veggies. It’s made with tofu instead of eggs. It’s a great way to use up (and get more of) greens like kale or chard. This is one of my weight-loss go-to meals when I want something that tastes great, is easy to make, and is very filling.
If I don’t post again this week, I’ll be back Sunday with my weekly recap. Hope everyone’s having a great week!
