Let’s talk activewear! While we had some cooler days, June was pretty hot so I reached for my most-loved gear for hot, sweaty workouts.
Favorite Running Outfit
Lululemon Sculpt Tanks and Tracker Shorts are such a great hot-weather running combination. I’ve read some reviews that the Sculpt Tank doesn’t wick sweat, but that’s definitely not the case for me. Because it’s made of Lulu’s lightweight swim material, it actually wicks sweat like a sponge, which I love because I hate the feeling of sweat dripping down my back and tummy. I usually run in the early morning before the sun rises, but I do like the high neckline to protect the sensitive chest area from the sun when I do run later on weekends. The top is rated UPF 50 for sun protection. I’ve raved about Trackers for running before. I haven’t tried on the newest version–the 4–but read really bad reviews about how the liner is smaller. Boo! I’m happy I have enough Trackers in the 2 and 3 versions to take me through summer! The Rio Nights pattern is one of my favorites, and I paired it with the Lilac Sculpt Tank. Purple and green are my favorite colors, so I love this color combo.
Favorite New Running Piece
I got this No Meat Athlete tank at the end of last summer and wore it for the first time this month. I don’t usually like any sort of logos or expressions on clothes, but I couldn’t resist this. The tank is made by Alo and is really awesome. It’s a very lightweight, breathable knit that fits loose in the body and arms. It’s super comfy and worked well on a hot run.
Running Gear Workhorse
I already said that Sculpt Tanks and Tracker Shorts are my hot-weather stable, but I also love the Hit Your Stride Skirts and have been wearing them a lot. I like them better than the Pace Rival Skirts. They have more pockets, are more comfortable, and are cuter. They’re currently marked down on the Lululemon site, so I picked up a black pair to add to my white and menthol. I also love them for casual wear. The pockets on the thighs of the under-shorts are great for carrying a phone and cash/ID.
Favorite Indoors Workout Outfit
I wore my Michi Vyper Crops for the first time to a Zumba class. I love them! They’re compressive and work well for high-energy workouts but still very comfortable. I paired it with my Deep Zinfandel CRB and a Sweaty or Not crop tee over top.
Favorite Hiking Outfit
I like the subdued, natural palette of my Fuel Green In the Flow Crops, Alo Yoga Vapor Grey Vapor Tank, and Albion Fit Charcoal Go Long Crew. The longsleeve crew top was a great layer that I could easily take off and put in my pack (a Lulu Run All Day pack). The Vapor Tank is long enough to peek out from the top, and the open back really cooled me off when I heated up and took off my longsleeve.
Favorite All-Around Piece
I’m loving my Alo Yoga Vapor Tank! I’ve worn it so many times since I got it. It works beautifully as a casual piece, but I’ve also worn it for light activities like hiking.
Um. I was pretty bad this month! I kinda binge shopped. I need to get reviews up, but here’s what I got.
I bought the black Hit Your Stride skirt since it was on sale. I have a black Pace Rival skirt, but like I said I like the Hit Your Stride much better. I wore it with a Paris Perfection CRB and a white, old Athleta top hiking last weekend.
I also bought the Slate Align Pants since they’re my new favorite tights, a Sweaty or Not kit that was on sale, a Yogi Everyday Tank, and a Salute the Sun Tank.
Yep, I bought ’em! I’ve been eyeing up the purple Ellen Stripe forever. I just got them so will have a review up!
I still haven’t added anything to my wish list, but I’m going to be looking out for end-of-season sales. I’d love to get another Alo Yoga Vapor Tank or try other styles. I also have a few Lulu things I’d love to get if they go on sale.
What are your favorites from this month? What’s on your wish list?
I’m linking up with Nicole at Fitful Focus for the Fit & Fashionable Friday Link Up.
Have a great weekend!
