Over Memorial Day, Beyond Yoga had a sale on sale items, so I picked up two new pieces.
Lay Low Tank
I’m so in love with this tank. It’s become my very favorite piece in my whole wardrobe!
The slinky modal jersey fabric is incredibly soft and drapes beautifully. I got my standard size medium, and it’s flowing and loose without being frumpy.
It has a high neck halter style in front, a slim racerback, and very low back. I think that high-neck styles look a lot less athletic-like, making this tank ideal for wearing out and about. It looks great with both tights and skinny jeans. I wore it with a pencil skirt in a summery print to an outdoor party this past weekend. The soft fabric felt wonderful, it kept me cool in 80-some degrees, and it looked classy and sophisticated. (Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures.) The tank is still on sale in a full range of sizes and colors. I’m trying hard not to buy one in every color available! Now that I know how awesome BY’s fabric is, though, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more tanks from them.
Gloss Over High Waisted Legging
A few years ago, I bought faux leather tights from Albion Fit and wore them to death. I wore them to countless parties and evenings out. They are now a bit scratched, and there’s even a tiny hole in them (probably from a flying ember around a fire pit). So when I saw what seemed to be a good replacement, the glossy high-waisted tight on sale, I decided to try them.
I’ve previously bought tights from BY in size small and found them a little too small. So I ordered these in size medium and am glad I did. They don’t have a ton of stretch in them and take some wiggling to get on. But once they’re on, they fit great and are very comfortable. They are very warm, though, so I’ll need to wait for the fall to start wearing them. I can see these being my go-to party pants that I can wear either with heels or boots.
The photos don’t do either of the pieces justice, but I’m really happy with both of them and know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them.
